Magdalena Budziakowska M.D.

"Hello all! You may notice that my last name is fairly odd- It's Polish. Don't worry though- most of my patients call me Dr. B. Let me give you some background. I was born in Katowice, Poland and at age 7, moved to the United States with my parents and younger brother. We lived in Chicago, IL, called "Poland #2" because believe it or not, Chicago has the second highest Polish population in the world, second only to Warsaw, the capital of Poland. In Chicago, I spent eight years earning my undergraduate and medical school degrees at Loyola University and Loyola Stritch School of Medicine respectively. In order to help serve the under and uninsured population of Chicago, I spent three years working and completing my Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Illinois Chicago Medical Center. In my last year of training I rotated through a Rheumatology Clinic and fell in love with the specialty as it placed me literally "hand in hand" with my patients. My desperate need for sunshine, Jazz and personal growth ultimately brought me southward to New Orleans. I completed a two year Rheumatology Fellowship at Ochsner Medical Center where I got to work under masterful, highly experienced Rheumatologists. In 2016, I successfully passed my Board Examination and now am proud to call myself Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. I recently joined Dr. Perdue and Dr. Biundo at The Arthritis & Rheumatology Clinic in Metairie, Louisiana.
I am lucky to have a wonderful team that cares first and foremost about patient care. I am excited to finally be able use my knowledge to help others and look forward to meeting and learning from you as devote my gifts to better my patients and community.
 Best. Dr. Budziakowska".
