Maisie Burgess, NP

Maisie is a native of Monroe, Louisiana. She moved to Lafayette where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and started her nursing career in the pediatric intensive care unit. Maisie then moved back to Monroe where she worked as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse while completing her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to become a nurse practitioner. After completing her masters, she moved to New Orleans and started practicing at urgent care. While working at urgent care she completed her Doctor of Nursing
Practice from Southeastern Louisiana University. Maisie continued working at urgent care and trained in wound medicine as well. With her years of experience in urgent care and wound medicine, Maisie is excited to apply her breath of skills and knowledge at the Arthritis and Rheumatology Center of Metairie where she looks forward to meeting and treating patients.

Louis Donovan Perdue Jr., M.D.


Dr. Louis “Donovan” Perdue has been a provider at the Arthritis & Rheumatology of Metairie clinic since 2012.  He was born and raised in Alexandria, Louisiana, and completed his undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University where he graduated summa cume laude and with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology.  He then returned home to Louisiana for his medical school training at LSU Health and Science Center in New Orleans.  After completing medical school, he pursued his Internal Medicine residency training at the University of Illinois at Chicago.  He continued on in a rheumatology fellowship at UIC before returning home again to Louisiana to help combat the shortage of rheumatologic care here in the greater New Orleans area.  He is currently board certified in Rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and a member in good standing of the American College of Rheumatology.  He holds a certification in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound by the Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists.
